SaskPower employee Dinesh Dhungana volunteered over 100 hours to the Nepali Society of Southern Saskatchewan (NepSoSS) and received $500.00 from SaskPower to present to this organization. SaskPower’s Employee Volunteer Program rewards employees volunteering in their communities by providing funds to the non-profit organizations they serve. NepSoSS would like to acknowledge SaskPower for this valuable support. NepSoSS ensures that the donation money will be contributed to maintain Nepali culture, tradition and welfare of the Nepaleses community members in Regina.

This is to inform you all that Nepali Ambassador to Canada His Excellency Kali Prasad Pokhrel is coming to Regina on October 27, 2017. NepSoSS is organizing an interaction program with ambassador on October 27, 2017 from 6 to 9 PM at Core-Ritchie Centre, 445 14 Ave, Regina, SK S4N 6T5. You can meet and chat with Mr. Pokhrel to discuss any consular and prevailing issues such as passport renewal and signing Power of Attorney documents etc. 

The Seasonal Influenza Immunization program begins  starting October 23, 2017. The free flu shot vaccine will be offered through public health clinics, as well as some pharmacies, physician and nurse practitioner offices. All residents 6 months and older can get the injectable flu vaccine. 

Pharmacists can only immunize adults and children 9 years of age and older with a valid Saskatchewan health card. Children under 9 will need to be vaccinated at a public health clinic.
